As Vice President of Corporate Strategy at Bigelow Aerospace, Blair Bigelow May spent five years guiding commercial and government programs, advancing next-generation space habitats, and leading strategic partnerships. She served on the board of the Commercial Spaceflight Federation and chaired its Space Commerce Committee, where she contributed to early policy and contracting models that helped lay the foundation for today’s commercial space economy. Blair is also a board member of Space Kinetic,a defense‑focused aerospace startup revolutionizing in‑space operations for missile defense and space superiority
Blair is the co-founder of Desert Legacy Capital, a Las Vegas-based investment firm focused on small- to mid-sized businesses across critical sectors, with an emphasis on dual-use technologies and innovative aerospace capabilities. Her work bridges national security, frontier technology, and long-term market strategy.
In addition to her aerospace and investment work, Blair is deeply involved in philanthropy and healthcare. She recently completed a three‑year term as Foundation Board Chair for Dignity Health St. Rose Dominican Hospitals, helping lead fundraising efforts that raised over $75 million. She is a founding force behind Starry Night, Make‑A‑Wish Southern Nevada’s annual gala, which has raised nearly $1 million since its launch.
Blair serves on the Intermountain Health Advisory Committee for the development of Las Vegas’s first pediatric hospital and the Cleveland Clinic Nevada Fundraising Advisory Board. She also sits on the Southern Methodist University Young Alumni Board. She earned her BBA in Finance and her PMBA in Strategy and Entrepreneurship from SMU’s Cox School of Business.

The company remains the only private entity with a module on the International Space Station: the Bigelow Expandable Activity Module (BEAM).
