Meet BBMAY

Blair Bigelow May served as the Vice President of Corporate Strategy and Advisor to the President at Bigelow Aerospace for five years. In this role, she was a strategic leader, providing input into all major commercial and government programs and partnerships. Bigelow Aerospace was a leader in developing commercial space habitats for use in low Earth orbit and beyond. Blair also served on the board of the Commercial Spaceflight Federation (CSF) and chaired the Space Commerce Committee.

After her time at Bigelow Aerospace, Blair co-founded Desert Legacy Capital, an investment firm based in Las Vegas. With $5M in assets under management, the firm aims to create a diverse portfolio of investments in small to medium-sized companies.

Blair serves as the Foundation Board Chair for St. Rose Dignity Health Hospitals in Las Vegas, Nevada. She participated in fundraising over $75M over five years and put together a comprehensive campaign with a goal of raising $100M over three years, with a record $33M secured in the first year. She also participates on the Intermountain Pediatric Hospital Task Force and serves on the Young Alumni Board at Southern Methodist University. Blair plays an active role in Make-A-Wish of Southern Nevada, helping to raise $415,000 at an inaugural event she chaired in 2023.

In 2014, Blair earned a Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) in Finance from Southern Methodist University. The following year, she graduated from Southern Methodist University’s Cox School of Business with a Professional Master’s of Business Administration (PMBA) degree, concentrating in Strategy and Entrepreneurship. She was the youngest student ever accepted into the program, which she completed in record time. Both programs are ranked and recognized nationally and globally, with the PMBA program ranked seventh in the nation by Bloomberg Businessweek.
